That means the clothes dry fast - so they avoid distracting chafing. It’s incredibly lightweight so they can accelerate with ease. And it comes with odour control tech so their gear stays fresh.

What age can kids start running?
Most kids can take part in some form of structured running from a fairly young age (around 7 or 8 for low mileage fun runs or track and field). But it’s important to speak to a qualified youth running coach, sports teacher or the child’s doctor first. There can be some health risks associated with long distance running at a young age, so get professional advice first.
Are kids’ running shoes the same as adults?
No, boys’ and girls’ running shoes tend to be lighter than adult running shoes and have less cushioning. Kids’ bodies are simply less heavy than grown adults’, so they don’t need the same level of impact absorption from their footwear. They also come with design features that are helpful for kids (hook and loop strap closures, stretch bungee laces).
But in all other ways, they’re very similar to adult footwear. In our kids’ running shoes, we still use the same kinds of innovative performance technology you’ll find in our adult running shoes - things like breathable mesh uppers, plush sock liners for underfoot comfort, TPU heel overlays for added durability - and more.
What shoe size is best for kids?
We recommend buying kids sports shoes in their current size. If you’re unsure, you can use our boys’ and girls’ footwear charts to find the right size in Under Armour shoes.
While it’s true that kids are always growing, we don’t recommend sizing up in kids’ sports shoes. If their running, football or training shoes fit too big, they’re more likely to trip and be injured when being active. Oversize shoes can also cause rubbing and blisters if their heels aren’t kept securely in place.
