Should you wear a hoodie to the gym?
If your hoodie is designed for training, then yes, you can wear it to the gym. Performancewear hoodies are built using technical fabrics like UA Armour Fleece®. These materials are breathable, stretchy and let you move - while still keeping you warm. This kind of gear can be perfect for warming up in and wearing between reps. If you’re doing a less intense session, you might even be able to train in your hoodie without overheating.
But you should avoid wearing streetwear or casualwear hoodies to the gym. This kind of apparel is not built for intensive exercise, meaning you could overheat when working out in it.

What material are hoodies made from?
Hoodies can be built from almost any material. But if you need a hoodie for training in, choose technical fabrics that are breathable, stretchy, sweat-wicking, and which let you move. We build our hoodies from materials like polyester, elastane and cotton (and often, a blend).
We’ve also added advanced technology to our hoodie fabrics to help you perform even better. Innovations like Armour Fleece® keep you warmer without extra bulk, UA Storm gives you water-resistance, and UA ColdGear® gives you even more insulation.
How to store hoodies
Under Armour hoodies are built to be tough, so you can grind hard and often. But you can make them last even longer by storing them correctly.
After washing and drying your hoodie per the label, we recommend folding it and placing it in a drawer. It’s best to store hoodies in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight. If you’re storing your training hoodie for a longer duration, place it in a breathable storage bag to avoid it getting musty.
What different types of hoodies are available?
